Long before Fancy Pet Salon, Venus discovered her gift in Colombia. She trained as a professional dog groomer, learning the craft from the ground up — the patience it takes, the trust a dog must feel, the artistry behind every cut. That foundation — built on care, precision, and genuine love for animals — would follow her across an ocean.
A New Country, A First Job
When Venus moved to the United States, she arrived with her skills, her passion, and a determination to prove herself in a new place. Her first job was at Petco — and she embraced it fully. Working alongside dogs of every breed, size, and temperament, she deepened her expertise and built a reputation that clients noticed immediately.
Dogs that were nervous around other groomers would calm in her hands. Word spread. Trust grew. Venus was becoming someone Lynchburg’s dog owners could rely on.
