A New Home on Fort Ave, Open 6 Days a Week

If you have been with me for a while, you know how Fancy Pet Salon works. Every 30 days I fly to Lynchburg, and for those days my book fills up fast. If you missed a spot, you waited for my next trip. Some of you waited weeks, and you told me you would rather wait for me than go somewhere else.

That means more to me than I can say. It is also why I am making a change.

Fancy Pet Salon is moving into a house on Fort Avenue in Lynchburg, and we will be open 6 days a week.

More days, same hands

A salon that is open every week only works if every groomer meets my standard. So I am choosing each groomer myself, and I am training each one the way I groom: patient handling, no rushing, and every dog treated like my own. Nobody grooms your dog until I am confident they would do it the way I do.

We are opening with one or two groomers, and we will only grow as fast as I can train new people properly. Are you a groomer who wants to learn my way? We are hiring.

I will not be at the salon every day, but my groomers will be, and they groom the way I taught them. When I am in town, I am grooming right alongside them.

Still a home, not a factory

The new salon is in a house, not a strip mall, and we are keeping that feeling.

• Each groomer has their own room with a door that closes, so your dog is not surrounded by other dogs, barking and dryers.
• One dog at a time in each room, with the groomer's full attention.
• Baths happen in their own bath and dry room.
• It is drop-off and pick-up. We do not board, and no dog stays overnight.
• The same warm welcome at the front door you are used to.

What this means for you

• Shorter waits for an appointment.
• 6 days a week to choose from, instead of only the days I am in town.
• The same care, from groomers I picked and trained myself.

When we open

We are getting the house ready now, and I will share the opening date here as soon as it is set. Until then, nothing changes: book with me the same way you always have.
